Our Mission
The Mildred Berryman Institute for LGBTIQ+ Utah History promotes public education and general knowledge of Utah LGBTIQ+ history, culture, and arts in all their diversity by fostering a collegial atmosphere among LBGTIQ+ Utah researchers.
Our Goals
We will forward our mission by collecting, preserving, exhibiting and making accessible to the public materials and knowledge regarding Utah LGBTIQ+ communities. The Mildred Berryman Institute for LGBTIQ+ Utah History will support and promote understanding of Utah LGBTIQ+ history, culture and arts in all their diversity.

The Mildred Berryman Institute for LGBTIQ+ Utah History is committed to preserving and documenting the full breadth of LGBTQIA+ history in Utah with integrity, inclusivity, and impartiality. As a public history initiative, our mission is to support and collaborate with all local LGBTQIA+ organizations, ensuring diverse voices, experiences, and artifacts are recognized and safeguarded for future generations.
